Tottenham vs Liverpool:Strongest 3-5-2 Tottenham XI to face Liverpool,Pochettino to make 1 key change

Tottenham take on Liverpool in what could be the clash of the weekend. The two clubs are separated by only three points but the Reds have a 100% win record after four games. Spurs were beaten by Watford in the previous game but they must play well to get the better of Liverpool. The Reds were comprehensively beaten by Spurs the last time they came to Wembley. And it would be great if we can repeat that performance on Saturday. Tottenham do have some injury concerns as Hugo Lloris missed the loss against Watford. Dele Alli also picked up a slight knock during international duty. Spurs need to play their best XI to beat the Reds and here is our predicted line-up for Mauricio Pochettino’s side.

Predicted Tottenham XI

Manager: Mauricio Pochettino

Formation: 3-5-2

Michel Vorm (GK)

Lloris missed the last game and didn’t participate in the international break due to an injury. Thus, Vorm should continue between the sticks against the Reds.

Davinson Sanchez (CB)

Sanchez has been a quality signing for us since joining from Ajax and he must be smart to avoid getting exploited by the Liverpool defence.

Toby Alderweireld (CB)

The Belgian seems to be enjoying his football at Spurs and should start alongside his countryman.

Jan Vertonghen (CB)

Vertonghen is one of the best defenders in the world and the former Ajax star will be up against one of the best attacks in the league.

Kieran Trippier (RWB)

Trippier’s stock is rising with every game and the Englishman will be an important outlet for our attack against Liverpool.

Eric Dier (CM)

The English midfielder would have a crucial role to play in stifling Liverpool’s midfield. Dier must snuff out the likes of Jordan Henderson and James Milner – something he is more than capable of doing.

Christian Eriksen (CM)

The Danish star hasn’t hit the heights of last season but we need him to be at his best to beat Liverpool.

Son Heung-min (CM)

Alli was another player that picked up a knock while on international duty and with Son returning to the squad, we should see the South Korean start.

Danny Rose (LWB)

Rose was a star for England in their game against Switzerland and Mauricio Pochettino must play the Englishman on Saturday ahead of Ben Davies.

Harry Kane (ST)

Kane needs to find his scoring boots after a couple of goals in four games. However, he usually finds his feet in September and was a thorn for the Reds defence last season. Read more: Not Sessegnon – Tottenham interested in 21-year-old rising English left-back

Lucas Moura (ST)

The Brazilian has been in fine form since the start of the season and hopefully, he will score against the Reds on Saturday.
