Transfer Talk Kepa arrives at the airport ahead of £71.6m Chelsea move

Chelsea are on the verge of completing their second signing of the summer. Keeper Kepa Arrizabalaga is set to become the most expensive goalkeeper in world football with the Blues set to pay £71.6million to sign him from Athletic Bilbao. The links with the highly-rated 23-year-old only surfaced on Monday, with Chelsea having been linked to a host of other keepers. And Chelsea have acted quickly to get the deal done, with Kepa due to put pen to a paper on a five-year deal tomorrow. READ MORE Willian opens up on his 'difficult' Antonio Conte relationship and that FA Cup social media post Spanish outlet Marca reported earlier today that Kepa was expected to travel to London to sign terms with Chelsea on Wednesday, and that looks like it will come true with the Spanish publication now having a video of the young custodian arriving at the airport ahead of his planned trip to London. The 23-year-old has been captured on camera arriving at Madrid airport from Bilbao ahead of a proposed flight to London.

Kepa came through the ranks at Bilbao and enjoyed a successful loan spell in the Segunda Liga before becoming Bilbao's first choice custodian for the past two seasons in La Liga. He was also Spain's keeper for the U21 European Championships last summer. The Blues are in the market for a new keeper, with question marks over the future of Thibaut Courtois. The Belgian is trying to force through a move to Real Madrid, and has allegedly gone on strike, failing to turn up for training at Cobham in the past two days. Courtois wants to move back to Madrid to be nearer his family and Real are keen to secure a £35million deal for the 26-year-old.
