Jurgen Klopp Liverpool Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp thinks the “brilliance of Alisson” saved his side from dropping points against Brighton on Saturday. Mohamed Salah scored his 29th goal in 29 Anfield appearances as the Reds beat the Seagulls 1-0 in the Premier League.
“It wasn’t our best performance but it was obviously good enough,” Klopp told BBC Sport. “It is quite difficult to create chances against a good, organised side like Brighton.
“We had chances. It was a good game. In the second half, if you don’t decide the game, it is the oldest law of football… Brighton is too good and when they made some changes, we lost the plot a little and gave the ball away in absolutely the wrong moments!
“We gave a few percentages back and they nearly used it but for the brilliance of Alisson. The set-pieces they had were always dangerous but we defended them so I’m really fine.
“It is a good day for us because we won this game and it is still special for a Premier League game.”
